I am not sure what is to come of something like this. It seems that a rash of sites of this kind have broken out in the last few months. milliondollarhomepage.com is now full, but a host of other pixelad sites have rushed in to get their piece of the pie. Then you have sites like smashmyipod.com and smashmyviper.com collecting money to smash something and savetoby.com who promises not to eat his fluffy little rabbit if you buy enough books from him.

Which, brings me to 1000tags.com. Much like the millionpixelhomepage deal, 1000tags.com encourages people to purchase tags in a tag cloud on their site. The more money you shell out, the larger you can make your tag. You can also get one free tag by doing what I am doing here (giving them link to their site).

I will post updates on what happens next and in the meantime will be pondering, how I can get my piece.

UPDATE: Well, just like they said, they gave me a tag for free. I wonder if this will indeed increase my traffic. We’ll see.
